Florida Street Blowhards at Poor Boy Lloyd’s
The Fantastic Florida Street Blowhards at back by popular demand at Poor Boy Lloyd’s, Baton Rouge’s best trad jazz venue! The Blowhards will be there Friday, December 7 from 7 to 10 p.m. We’ll be knocking out the good ol’ good ones, “Lazy River,” “Dippermouth Blues,” “Blues My Naughty Sweetie Gives to Me,” Egyptian Ella” and “I Ain’t Gonna Give You None of This Jelly Roll.”
COOL DEPARTMENT: This is cool! The Florida Street Blowhards recently played a gig in Breaux Bridge at the Teche Center for the Arts and the Grammy-award- nominated Yvette Landry sang jazz with us. Yvette is well known for her C&W and Cajun vocals but she stretched out and sang “Careless Love” and “I Wish I Could Shimmy Like My Sister Kate.” Advocate reporter Dominick Cross wrote about it in “Yvette Landry On the Time She Shared a Stage With Vince Gill” and mentioned the Blowhards in the same strory with Yvette and Vince Gill. How cool is that? READ THE STORY!
Come See us this Friday night (Dec. 7) at Poor Boy Lloyd’s!
